Physical Events

Our climate change activism includes peaceful marches, rallies, and physical awareness events in general with the purpose of educating the public on a certain issue and delving into how we can solve it. Examples of this include striking against climate change and big corporate's usage of fossil fuels, or #metoo marches to honor victims of sexual assault.

Artivism

Throughout history, art has always been a mechanism for activists to express themselves through their chosen medium. This means covering important and sometimes controversial topics through an artistic medium to raise awareness through a universal language. Our climate change activism is primarily achieved through our artistic pieces.

Universal Language:

Art

Art, being a universal language, speaks for itself. It does not have any language barriers. It is understood not only by expert art critics, but by any individual attuned enough to interact with image. We believe that art unites us in our global struggle for climate activism. Our mission is to showcase activist art from students around the world.

ACTIVISM THROUGH ART

Artistic Activism is a dynamic discipline that combines the arts' creative potential to affect us emotionally with the strategic planning required for social change. Art and activism have distinct purposes in the world. Activism is the act of confronting and changing power relations, as the word indicates.

Art, on the other hand, does not always have a clear goal. It's difficult to identify what art is for or against; its significance is often in giving us with fresh perspectives and ways of seeing the world. We want to engage both the mind and the soul by using art as activism.

#Metoo Marches

Because sexual harassment and sexual assault affect people every day, the "Me Too" movement, which focuses on the experiences of sexual violence survivors, has gotten a lot of attention.

The movement's supporters demonstrate how frequent sexual harassment is by sharing their own experiences. The objective is that through raising awareness of sexual harassment and the casualness with which it is sometimes dealt, tolerance for it will decrease and support for victims would increase.

How do #MeToo Marches advance women's issues?

The #MeToo campaign , which began a decade ago in the United States with activist Tarana Burke, has spread to practically every corner of the globe. This includes the phrase itself, as well as the viral hashtag #MeToo, are now in use in over 85 countries. Women have participated in thousands of #metoo marches to advocate for the victims of sexual abuse.

Hundreds of other cities have similar local efforts including #metoo marches. Women who have previously suffered in silence from abuse, harassment, and discrimination have lifted their voices in unison, partnering across borders to demand reform.

Despite this momentum, a recent poll found that mistrust of harassment accusations has increased. Despite the fact that more women are running for political office in countries around the world, women remain significantly underrepresented at the highest levels. It's all too simple to get downhearted.

Fear not. Women's rights are undergoing a major transformation. On a worldwide basis, the #MeToo movemen t continues to make widespread—and visible—progress. Its impact may be seen in the courts, in legislative changes, and, ironically, in the mounting opposition.

We encourage women and girls to take heart, continue to organize and participate in #MeToo Marches as we fundamentally change our society to one that is equitable for women of all ages. Contact us today to find a #MeToo March near you.

  • What is the climate crisis?

    Climate Crisis:

Rising sea levels, ecosystem collapse, and more frequent and severe weather are the main concerns posed by climate change as the temperature of the Earth's atmosphere rises.

Climate change produced by human-generated greenhouse gas emissions has a variety of effects on global systems. It warms the polar regions and oceans, for example, melting the ice cover at the poles and causing sea level rise. Climate change has an impact on ocean environments by reducing oxygen levels, reducing phytoplankton (small plants that serve as the foundation of marine food chains), and destroying coral reefs.

Climate change influences weather patterns, generating more frequent and severe storms and droughts in many parts of the world. Higher temperatures are changing the length of seasons, and in some locations, they have already beyond ecosystem-safe thresholds.
